Context

Source(s): https://discuss.ai.google.dev/t/antigravity-2-0-desktop-file-mention-autocomplete-fails-across-multiple-folders-in-multi-root-projects/180060 Signal: 103 views; a second user reported the same problem; the original poster's own reply "This problem has been corrected in version 2.24.0." is the accepted answer (2026-10-17). Status: reported working by source, not reproduced by us.

Problem

In a project with two or more root folders, typing @ and a file name in the agent chat finds only files from one root folder (usually the most recently added). Files in the other folders show "No results". "No results" is the text in the @ suggestion popup, quoted by the original poster; there is no error message.

Error (redacted / normalized)

No results

Applies when

Google Antigravity 2.0 Desktop 2.11.0 on Windows 11 (first report); still present in 2.15.0; fixed in 2.24.0.

Confirm it is this problem

  1. Open a project with two root folders, for example Folder-A and Folder-B.
  2. In the chat box, type @ followed by the name of a file inside Folder-A. → expect: "No results", while files from Folder-B do appear.

Not this when / boundary

Single-folder projects, or a file that is excluded from indexing for another reason such as an ignore file (our inference).

Root cause

The @ mention search indexed only one root folder of a multi-folder project instead of all of them (original poster's description; Google did not post an explanation).

Fix

  1. Update Antigravity Desktop to 2.24.0 or later (the original poster). → expect: the @ popup lists files from every root folder.

How to verify

Typing @ with a file name from each root folder shows that file in the suggestion list.

What did not work

None reported; nobody found a workaround before 2.24.0.

Risks

Update only through Antigravity's own updater or Google's official download page (our inference).

Verified scope

Antigravity 2.0 Desktop 2.11.0 to 2.15.0 (affected), fixed in 2.24.0, October 2026.

Becomes obsolete when

Users stop seeing it on 2.24.0 or later; keep for anyone still on an older 2.x version.
